The main purpose of the paraplanner role is to support the Financial Advisers to deliver the highest level of service to our clients by creating quality and compliant advice documents and to provide technical analysis, assistance, and complete technical transactions such as investments, disinvestments, rebalances and income requests.

Key responsibilities includes:

• Ability to understand a client's circumstances and objectives (via fact find, risk profile, adviser file notes) to produce detailed and structured advice documents, based upon the needs and requirements of the client and aligned to their best interests.
• To pro-actively liaise with the financial adviser where more appropriate and/or additional advice may be required.
• To ensure individual cases are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• To draft bespoke technical reports and detailed financial modelling of financial planning strategies.
• Organise workflow and management of ongoing workload.
• Adhere to strict compliance and anti-money laundering and counter terrorism legislation.
• Identify areas to improve efficiencies and streamline business processes.

• To ensure adherence with the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) Code of Ethics at all times

The successful candidate will have Paraplanning experience and knowledge in the following areas:

• Investment
• Risk Analysis and Protection
• Pre and Post Retirement Planning
• Cash Flow Management
• Salesforce experience to assist maintaining the company's database and online client files with relevant information.
• Advanced Excel skills

Xplan Experience in the following areas:

• IPS
• Investment modelling
• Wealth Solver
• Risk Researcher
• Xtools+ (CALM) for financial modelling (cash flow, longevity of funds)
• Advice Builder 9.0 (Advice production wizard)

Prior knowledge in the following areas:

• Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF’s)
• Australian Superannuation
• Estate Planning
